“Strategic Project Management” Available as an On-Line Speech and Class

Alex S. Brown, PMP IPMA-C

“Strategic Project Management” was presented to a packed lecture hall on October 24, 2006 at the PMI North America Congress. The presentation was selected as one of the top presentations of the Congress, and an encore presentation was made the following day.

Many at the Congress were unable to get into the room and hear the presentation live, but you now have the opportunity to hear the presentation and see the slides.

The entire speech is 75 minutes, including an extended question & answer period.

Technical Information

The speech is delivered in MP3 format. The entire presentation is about 27 MB and should play smoothly for most Internet connections, even many dial-up connections (anything over 48 kbps). To synchronize the slides, JavaScript must be enabled. It has been tested with both Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers, using QuickTime and Windows Media Player plug-ins. The VLC player has some known issues and will not synchronize the sound and slides.

Paper and Slides Available Also

The paper and slides for “Strategic Project Management” have been available on this site since 2006. The recorded presentation and the paper cover related, but not identical ideas. Anyone interested in the topic will benefit from reviewing both sets of materials.
