Date: June 2nd 2010
I will be helping to moderate a session about asapm aPRO, the asapm Performance Rated Organization maturity model at 3 PM EDT, 3 June 2010. aPRO is a breakthrough standard for assessing and rating the maturity of project management processes in a corporation, non-profit, or government entity. If you would like to attend, contact me for details.
The aPRO standard is similar in some ways to PMI OPM3, and I believe it is a step forward from OPM3. The assessment criteria are easier to understand, the standard is available as a public download, and it is a much shorter standard than anything I have seen before in the project management space.
I hope you decide to join us for the live webcast, and will post a notice at alexsbrown.com when the recording is available.
I plan to make the event a PDU-eligible event through my company, Real-Life Projects, Inc. Subscribers to the web seminar series will get notice as soon as the event is registered with PMI as a Registered Education Provider Category 3 event. Non-subscribers, please send me an e-mail and I will send you the instructions to complete your PDU claim for attending.

About once a month I send out an e-mail about what is new or changed on the alexsbrown.com site. The e-mail contains a short summary of the new areas, articles, or features, and a link to the new material. It is a convenient way to get notification as new material becomes available. Each e-mail will also contain information about one service or product from my company, Real-Life Projects, Inc. (http://www.rlprj.com/).
The articles are generally about project management, IT and strategic planning. They are based on research, my personal experiences, and my personal point of view.
